Tales of the H.E.A.R.T

An interactive, magical anti-bullying show that uses stories from children’s literature and “characters with character” to encourage children to have  “H.E.A.R.T.”— Honesty, Empathy, Accountability, Respect, and to Take a stand for what is right.

Programming for Grades 1-6

This program is designed for elementary school children (the show was created with 2nd grade students as the “target age” although it is appealing to grades 1 thru 6). There is a workbook provided for teachers with activities and lessons plans on the books and principles used in Tales of the H.E. A. R. T.  These activities can be used in the classroom throughout the year.

Lessons of Character

Tales of the H.E.A.R.T. brings two Fairy Godmothers and a special dragon to your school to grant a wish that has been made—-”no bullies in school”.  Deciding to get to the the “heart” of the matter they will not only define and bring attention to bullying, but tell tales that teach lessons of character. These tales encourage kids to become children with H.E.A.R.T.  This program uses magic, audience participation, puppets, music, and laughter to capture the attention of students so that the “message sticks”. The program has a theatrical background screen and elements of  “live theatre” and therefore also provides a good introduction to the performing arts.

Magic of Mother Goose

Programming for Pre-K to Grade 1

Including a visit from Mother Goose can add a little “magic” into your curriculum. Using puppets, props, magic and student participation, Mother Goose will delight your children with her rhymes and tales. Mother Goose’s program not only brings nursery rhymes to your children, but she encourages listening skills, stresses kindness and  gives small children an introduction to “live theater”.

The MAGIC of nursery rhymes is their simple ability to please a child who hears and recites them- and to please a child is really reason enough to read Mother Goose rhymes.

Mother Goose may have started in the nursery, but there is no question that today her works are considered an important aspect of literature. From a literary standpoint these rhymes have proved of real value in creating a taste for the truly musical in poetry and song.  They train the ear and stir the imagination of the child. But even more than literary importance–from century to century–from generation to generation– Mother Goose has been a part of our lives.  Today’s teachers are keeping nursery rhymes a magical part of childhood and are helping pass down this literary heritage.

  • Effective!

I LOVED IT! I think she was great and the kids were really into it! Anyone who can keep my kids’ attention for an hour deserves an A+!!! The way she approached bullying was a lot more effective for my class than other assemblies we have had. Definitely an assembly we should have again.
